Mysore Hamburg Yoga Meditation

Ashtanga MySore

Self-practice in the tradition of Ashtanga MySore!

Mysore self-practice is the traditional way of practising ashtanga yoga and offers a highly personalised approach between student and teacher, yet with all of the group energy of a regular yoga class. In MySore settings, your addressed by name, the teacher will get to know your practice inside out and the practice setting is quiet – there’s very little talking and no new age music…Just you and your breath. Students become more aware in noticing distractions and the wandering mind and bringing it back to a focused state, instead of passively listening to a teacher or watching other students. This makes it a more internal practice; a meditation in motion.

Ashtanga Fundamentals Level 1-2

Led class based on the Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga!

In this style, yoga postures are linked in specific sequences that deepen a student’s flexibility, strength, stamina & concentration. Sequences are repeated each class, so that students are given time to master postures through breath and stability. Emphasis is given to proper breathing (Ujjayi), body alignment (propping & assisting with the teacher) & Dristi gazing (method used to deepen awareness). A key posture will be reviewed & practiced with the teacher each class. Students are encouraged to feel comfortable in the Level 1 classes before beginning this class.

Yin yoga und Yoga Nidra Kurs

Yin Yoga 1 + Yoga Nidra

Deep & Silent.

Unlike Vinyasa Flow classes (Yang Yoga) where the focus is more on superficial muscles, strength and endurance, Yin Yoga focuses on the deeper layers of connective tissues in the body like fascia. Yin poses are generally held for 3-7 minutes with muscles relaxed in order to slowly and safely stretch and open the connective tissues that surround joints (hips, spine, shoulders for example) and to stimulate the flow of Chi in the body. Since Yin Yoga is a slow moving and quiet practice, it allows students to fully engage with the breath, which is effectively used to heal the body and still the mind. This class ends with a 10-20 minute Yoga Nidra guided meditation.
